Mumbai: The Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today presented the Union Budget in the Parliament today. While announcing the budget the FM mentioned that the budget would priortise the Gareeb, Mahilayen, Yuva and Annadata.
While annoucing the budget the FM laid emphasis on various educational reforms, the highlight being that several medical colleges would be opened in Bihar and boosting the development of public health infrastructure for public good.
FM said, “We have successfully used technology for improving productivity and bridging inequality in our economy over the past 10 years. Public investment in digital infrastructure and innovations by the private sector have helped improve access for all citizens, particularly the common people, to market resources, education, health, and services. We have increased the adoption of technology towards the digitalisation of the economy.”
Sharing his views on the budget announcement and the importance laid on the role of technology, Satya Prakash Singh, Director & Founder – Mediword Healthcare, shared, “As we analyse the latest budget, it is clear that the government has made significant strides in addressing the critical needs of our health sector. The significant investment in one thousand industry training institutes, and the provision of Rs 1.48 lakh crore for education, employment and skilling will build a strong support system for educational delivery.
The allocation of Rs 10 lakh crore loans for higher education in domestic institutions and the revision in skilling loans upto Rs 7.5 lakh will enhance the skillset of our students, and improve participation rate in educational institutes. Moreover, it is promising to see governments focus on providing internship opportunities to one crore youth in 500 top companies with a stipend of Rs 5000 giving them market exposure. Such initiatives are poised to elevate India to stand on par with its western counterparts.”
