This Ontario spa has a new winter wellness program

If you have self-care on your list of New Year’s resolutions for 2026, this one’s for you. Elora Mill Hotel & Spa, just 90 minutes from Toronto, has introduced a new winter wellness experience.

Available from Jan. 1 to March 31, offerings feature “bespoke wellness rituals and ceremonies, a contrast circuit and daily wellness workshops designed to calm the mind and awaken the senses.”

Tucked away in “Ontario’s most beautiful village,” the wellness experience will run in Elora Mill’s spa, dramatically suspended above the Grand River. Here, guests can take in scenic winter views all while wrapped up in a robe.

Expect “the soft hiss of steam rising from a heated outdoor pool against the crisp air, the grounding scent of cedar in the sauna, and the river echoing softly below.”

Or join in on a wellness workshop featuring slow flow yin fusion yoga, meditation and breathwork, sound healing and more. Workshops can be booked online.

And to continue embracing the slower pace of this time of year, Elora Mill’s kitchen will also be included in the season’s wellness program.

Dishes will include root vegetables, winter greens, and slow-cooked proteins that “nourish the body.”

“Whether shared as a multi-course tasting experience or as comforting, candlelit meals, each plate feels like a love letter to Ontario’s winter harvest,” according to the team.

Diners are also invited to Elora Mill’s communal dinners, designed to bring people together around one table while enjoying seasonal flavours and shared plates. Those hoping to take part can join the wait-list online.

Both guests of the hotel and visitors are able to take part in the wellness experience.

“There’s something extraordinary about this time of year in Elora,” said Jocelyn Maurice, Managing Partner of Elora Mill Hotel & Spa.

“The snow transforms the village into something out of a dream, but it’s the warmth within these walls, the sense of care and calm, that makes winter feel magical. It’s time to pause, to truly nourish yourself, and to remember what it feels like to rest.”

After your time at Elora Mill, be sure to explore the rest of town, famous for its old-world European atmosphere.

For some more winter fun, take a frosty snowshoe stroll at the Wellington Court Museum and Archives, a National Historic Site located along the Grand River across from the Elora Gorge

One of the best toboggan hills in the area is also located at this spot, along with an outdoor ice rink with free skating.
